The Community Policing program provides liaison with the Ontario Provincial Police to assist in reducing crime and vandalism.
Tay Community Policing is made up of a group of volunteers who live in Tay Township who work with the O.P.P. towards identifying and addressing community concerns, whether they be criminal, traffic or social in nature.
The purpose is to help provide a better quality of life for the residents of Tay Township and we would appreciate your support. Anyone can become a member of this committee and it’s free!!! The only criteria for being a member is that you care about your community and wish to get involved to make it a safer and better place to live for you, your family and friends.
Meetings are generally held the 2nd Monday of each month in the Council Chambers of the Tay Municipal Offices located at 450 Park Street in Victoria Harbour starting at 7:30 p.m. In the event that a meeting date must be changed, all meetings are advertised in the Community Calendar sections of the Midland Mirror and the Free Press. No meetings are held during the months of July and August. Please join us at our next meeting and bring along your friends, thoughts and suggestions. We look forward to meeting you.
If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to be contacted for more information regarding the Tay Community Policing Committee, please call the Township of Tay Municipal Office at (705) 534-7248 during regular office hours.
